Vihula Manor presents our beloved teddy bear Wille! But do you know the real story of Wille?

Once an old lady who visited the manor told her story how she had lived in the local village at the time of the Schuberts. She remembered how friendly the people at the manor had been, giving village children treats and toys of their own children. She remembered one time when she could choose a gift – there was a doll with a porcelain head and golden locks, which looked just like the daughter of the lady of the manor, and a brown one-eyed teddy bear. She liked the bear a lot, but nevertheless chose the doll as it was the most beautiful toy she had ever seen. However, even after all these years, she still remembered the teddy bear she had turned down. Her story and emotion has inspired us to re-create Wille, according to the description of this old lady.

Wille is handmade by Ingrid Köösel.
